Once the designation of I-95 ends in NJ on the Turnpike I believe the roadway is designated NJ-700 (though it isn't signed anywhere as this). With the way it connects to I-95 again once you cross the Delaware Memorial Bridge, it could have been routed this way on the Turnpike's alignment, but then you wouldn't have I-95 running through Philly. Then again that could have been signed as an I-X95 spur it seems to make more sense for the main routes to pass through the major control cities.
What really confuses people is that I-295 N turns into I-95 South up in Ewing, visa-versa the other way.
It's a big loop.
I-295 South takes you to the Delaware Memorial Bridge, where you can continue south on I-95, or take I-95 North, which will turn into I-295 South near Ewing.
I drive 50+ miles each way. GSP-78-24-287-80. At any time any of these roads can be at a stand still. Some days I'm here at my desk by 7:30am. Others I don't get here until almost 10am. But i leave early enough to make sure there are a TON more days at or near 7:30. (I don't have to be here until 8).
Yes it makes my day MUCH longer but I saved almost 150k as compared to a smaller house on a smaller lot close to my office than what I have now. Suck it up or move.
No way, i rather wake up at the same time, be late everyday, then whine about it on the interweb even though I know the turnpike situation will never change. Leaving earlier to arrive on time and not lose my job is completely out of the question!
Call in a favor once in a while and have them clear the road for you. That way the rest of us can have an excuse
