Any suggestions on apartments in towns around I-78, exit 36(Warren) area? I am taking a job up there and know nothing about the area. I plan to keep my home in VA and have a small apartment up there. What are good areas and what should I avoid? Any good areas with easy train access to Penn station? Part of my work will be in the city. What areas are sleepy towns and what has more going on?

Many thanks!

Can you expand on what towns you are looking at?
Putting a few town names of interest will get you a better response here.

I have been told to look in Basking Ridge, Bernardsville, Sommerville and Morristown. What about these or any other suggestions?

If you get off I 78E at exit 36 and go left it will take you to Basking Ridge and Bernardsville with plenty of condos (not sure about apt. rentals).
If you exit at 33 and go right it will take you to Bridgewater and Somerville (some apts near rt 22 in B'water)
Almost any exit you get off in Somerset Co will NOT be close to affordable(cheap) rentals.
Suggest you contact the realtors in Somerset/Morris co.that handle rentals.

Default I 78

If you need access to a train try Millburn or Summit. They are only about 20 min. to exit 36.
