But They Are Doing Work And Trying To Make Asbury Into What It Used To Be.
I drove through Asbury Park about 12 years ago...it was scary...it looked like they took Camden and put it on a beach. A seaside ghetto. How did it get to that point? I always figured that towns along the ocean were immune to this sort of thing because land near the beach is desirable.

newark, atlantic city, asbury park, irvington, east orange, hillside, elizabeth, camden, trenton

camden and newark/irvington are most likely the worst

most bad areas of jersey are in the northern part of the state, particularly 1/2 of essex county

That is nothing. Take a trip to Far Rockaway, Queens; if you want to see a seaside ghetto.

I've never heard of this. Are you sure? It's a very nice town. Is there even a bad part of Bridgewater? I'm going to have to look into this.

Brigantine? Why, because it's next to AC? Brigantine is a very nice town. And I wouldn't put Long Branch or Belmar there either.

Bridgewater isn't bad at all, lol. No idea what that person was talking about. Neither is Edison, like another poster mentioned. It looks like this thread has attracted some trolls.

I dont know how did Hillside ended up here. Its not the best town but its not the worst to make the list. I know its close to Irvington and Newark with its bad sections but town itself also has a very nice and rich area and overall it shouldnt make a list of worst towns.

Actually Hillside has some great places.

Anyway. Did anybody stop for a minute and wondered why is this happening and how to stop it? Do we actually have to pay 25K in taxes to be protected int our neighborhoods from this? What about those who can afford to pay only 5k in taxes?

First. Why is this happening? I speculate poor ghetto people reproduce at the greater rate than none ghetto people. So they are pushing outward from everywhere increasing our safe neighborhood tax price range. Also, they are moving from NYC (Harlem is being rezoned).

How to stop it? Though question. In Europe countries implemented super high tickets for littering, garbage around the house, junk cars. That is very difensive and will not stop the spreading. The mission of educating them failed as well. With the stupid "democratic" approach to everything in this country I'm affraid we will have to live with the cancer. I look into countries like: Russia, S. Arabia, or Irland and I envy them.

Maybe you guys have better ideas?

Aweg, you envy RUSSIA?! Russia is the land of sheer misery and corruption x 1000000000000!

I'll cop to wanting to live in Ireland though!
