So he's been standing by and watching the polls. Let's see Bachman won the straw poll in Iowa/ Cain won last night in Florida. It seems like there is no leader in the repub. party so it appears that Christie will run. The 2 leaders so far. Romney IMO moderate- Perry seems more like a tea party guy to me. I guess I would put Christie in the conservative repub. group. The Koch brothers and many other billionaires are drooling 4 Christie to run. He's on a nationwide tour this week, I guess he's done fixing NJ. I think he has a good chance compared to the other candidates. Your thoughts.

I usually take a dim view of continuing a thread from 3 years ago that somebody decided to dredge-up, but, wouldn't it be more accurate to say, Waddle, Chris, waddle? Anything more than a brisk walk would have him clutching his chest while in the throes of "the big one".

Perhaps the OP would like to return and provide a list of the "fixes" that our esteemed governor has provided for us.

The SL sums it up well:
Gov. Christie's hypocrisy cabaret comes East: Editorial | NJ.com
Copies of this should be handed out wherever CC shows his face.

I think he will run. Paul might be his biggest competition if he runs. Perry is done and huckabee is leaving the party in a sulk because no one agrees with his anti-gay stance anymore. Hilary will probably run as the dem candidate but I'm not sure she can survive her Secretary of State train wreck. Elizabeth Warren is another possible wide card but I don't think she can get the corporate backing she would need

im hoping for paul. I don't want a right wing big government corporatist or a communist. hopefully the libertarian wing of the tea party will win this time and rand wins the nomination.

im not really sure where the Koch brothers stand, but if Christie did win the nomination, I will vote for Hillary. same with Romney.

I think he has the following accomplishments- he is very good politically, he was selected as Chair of the RGA, he controls the purse strings on donations.

On substantive policy issues he has none.

I don't know about you guys, but my property tax increases are a lot more manageable now than they used to be. I remember when Corzine was governor I used to cringe every year when I looked at my new property tax bill. It was completely out of control. I wish they didn't go up at all, but that will never happen so I will take what I can get. There are a lot of issues in NJ that need addressing, but remember when the one issue that trumped all other issues was property taxes? Not so much anymore. That is a pretty big accomplishment in my book.

Depends on you income level- anyone making under a certain level of income and who lost the rebates the property tax increases are far greater under Christie. That is by far a majority of the population.
