Update from Monmouth County: There must have been a dip in temperature for a while, because it's raining right now but the car windshields, hoods and roofs are dusted in snow, and there's some around the plants in my garden!

There's at least 3" in Hanover Township, Morris County. The roads are a mess too, including 80/287. Stay in unless you really have to go out.

Ugh, those are the absolute worst. I have a Jeep myself and still drive as cautiously as I would if I drove a Focus when the roads are like this. 4 wheel drive does not equal invincible...

Down here in Lakewood only hail/sleet mixed with rain but boy is it COLD. The wind is picking up as well. Streets seem OK so far but if the temps keep dropping they will surely freeze over.

it worked out great. the nice mix of snow and rain kept the people away from delicious orchards this morning. last time i went there on a weekend, people were packed in like sardines. today there was plenty of room to look around and try the samples.

Lots of snow in Morris County. This is unacceptable. I REFUSE TO TURN THE HEAT ON. Mother Nature and Jack Frost can both go suck it.

According to my Facebook feed, western Essex County isn't doing too great either-people are stuck on 280 in the Oranges, and there are trees down and properties damaged!
