Here in the East Millstone area of Somerset County, there's about 2-3 inches of very wet, heavy snow on the ground and weighing down the tree limbs.
While the rate of snowfall seems to be slowing, it is still coming down--dammit!

On a side note, I wonder if the supermarkets were filled with people buying bread, eggs, and milk.
What is it about snow forecasts that makes people desire French Toast?

No snow here in eastern Monmouth County, but it's nasty out. I don't want to go anywhere.
My sister lives in Cliffwood and my parents a bit farther up Rt. 35, and they both have snow.

North Brunswick: Have snow. It's showing no signs of stopping either.

I'm near Ridgefield and that town has 4 inches... branches of trees are down everywhere with the weight of the snow accumulating on leaves that would usually be gone by the time snow comes.

Power lines are also down. Over 200K PSEG customers are w/o power, some on my block. This snowstorm is bad for those getting it and is still continuing...

I can tell you Livingston is being hit very hard. There are both trees and wires down. Power outages are extensive throughout the town. I stepped outside earlier to shake the heavy wet snow from my shrubs and low hanging tree limbs. While outside I could hear the sound of tree limbs cracking and falling. I could also hear the power transformers exploding. I lost power three times, but it came back on after only a few minutes.

Careone nursing home was totally evacuated earlier this afternoon, because of no power and many people on life support. They were taken to St Barnabas, they have emergency generators.

Not a good day for our town.
Bill

Things in Bogota are pretty messy now. Tons of trees and power lines down, luckily I still have power. Huge clumps of snow/slush are falling from the trees, it sounds like wombats smacking into a pool of jello. My girlfriend got hit with one walking through the courtyard after miraculously finding a parking spot on a snow-rules exempt block.

*Edit, much of that is actually in Teaneck, we live a few feet on the boarder.

About 5" in Neshanic.

Sounds like the opening of small game season or 2 minutes into a pack of Orville Redenbacher popcorn with the microwave set on high.

Amazing to hear and even see large tree branches snap and crash down.
Really, almost constant popping of tree branches breaking.
