well... it's not a lot different than the power lines is it? i am sure they are low priority and need to work with the Poco to get this stuff going.

Verizon FIOS here seems to work but it is a little flaky. I can't connect to my work VPN, but at other times its still blazing fast.

We live in Edison, and it's been out since Saturday. No phone, no internet, no television. Phonecalls either lead to a busy signal or an eternity on hold. The one time I was able to reach someone on Sunday, they told me they would send someone out between 1pm and 8pm... Think they showed up?

I need to get on the internet for work and I tried OO and FIOS. I can get on, and check e-mail no problem, but it cuts in and out so much that I cannot work. I am on my cell phone now (AT&T) and it's been surprisingly reliable albeit slow. So I am not quite sure what to do... any ideas?

I've had several cable providers over the years and Cablevision is by far the worst. I would never buy cable from them again even if it meant having no cable at all. In fact, I think Cablevision is the supplier where I am now but I don't have cable and wouldn't buy it from them anyway so it doesn't really matter.

Cablevision is working a-ok for me, both TV and interwebs. Netflix seems to have crapped the bed, but that's just par for the course these days...

I think it is unfair for a natural disasters to deprive me of my TV or phone service. Who can I sue?

Past couple of years were spotty as far as Cablevision is concerned, but I was very surprised to find all three services I have were uninterupted during the hurricane and this weekends snowstorm. I was prepared to loose power too here in South Edison, since that happens frequently in bad weather, but the lights stayed on.

Spot on! I owe you a rep since I seem to have done that too recently.
