I am looking at this area for a possible purchase. Anyone ever live there? Any recommendations, warnings? How is the commute to Port Authority?

totally a nice place
so North bergen is to me a good city, i've live my whole life in manhattan, have been living here in NB for 3 years, schools are good and people are nice. Good commute to city, but depends where exactly you are. Anywhere near Kennedy Blvd or Blvd East is the best route to Port Authority so far that I know of. But the better your closer to the City the more you will enjoy Living in NB, I live 3 minutes away the tunnel but I used to live on 90th Street making it about 15-18 min away and it was still great.

If your looking for a ranch that resembles your name you won't find it in North
Bergen.
Most homes are very close together with little side yards if any.
It is convenient to the city though.
