morning traffic on 22 east (Jersey City, Union: moving, commuting, tunnel)

COmmuting from BOund Brook to JErsey City at 6ish am. WOuld that be a good time? WHen does it start to get congested?

Early around 6ish should be ok. It starts getting crowded after 7:30. From Bound Brook to almost until Scotch Plains, there is moving traffic. Could get a little congested in Union but then again after GSP it is mostly clear. Depends on where you go in Jersey City, but between Pulaski Skyway and Holland tunnel it gets bad almost everyday.

Why don't you try I-78 instead?
