I live in NJ but work in Manhattan - if I loss my job, do I claim unemployment in NJ or NY? and does anyone know what the maximum amount is? Anything (procedure, timing, supporting doc, etc.) I should pay attention to? Thanks.

Lets just hope you don't lose your job. Unemployment is a waste of time.
However, if worse comes to worse, you will sadly have to collect from NY which is much worse than NJ. You get more $$$ from NJ's system and less hassle.

So hopefully you don't lose your job.
