But if you're renting, get permission from your landlord first. Verizon will have to connect a new line to your building, and they'll have to mount a fairly large box (converter and battery back-up) on a wall somewhere in your home, and they'll drill large holes into the studs to do that. My landlord was ok with it, but some might not be.
They won't let me do that. Would regular Verizon DSL be more reliable? I am really tired of this nonsense. Every week I am having issues, either slow speed or straight up outage. I would appreciate answers from Bayonne residents, as I think situation could be different in other towns.
I've had Verizon DSL for years, maybe only once had a problem. Also there is a wireless service called Clear where they give you a cellphone sized hotspot and you connect your pc to that. About $40 or $45 a month.
