HI all, new poster, great site.

im trying to buy townhome somewhere in North Jersey, ( I commute to NY)

im looking around 330-350k i've looked at West Orange, lots of townhomes very nice, but im not sure its worth paying the 10-12 k per year for taxes, when i have no kids, i 've seen a few places in Union (heard new townhomes being built by Khov there) i've also looked at nutley. I just want a 3 bedroom townhomes 2 /3 floors, garage and a back patio is preferable, any suggestions? no kids so no worries about school, etc. thanks for the info!

Depends on how far you want to live from the city - if you take the train or drive, and if there's any other qualifications for the town you want to live in.

Default Townhomes in North Jersey

West Orange definitely has the most to choose from. If you want less taxes, there is currently one townhouse in Verona and one in Clifton which seem to meet your criteria.

If you'd like more information, please send me a direct message.

Good luck.

Check out Parsippany/Morris Plains/Whippany area. Buses (Lakeland) at various stops on Rt. 46/Rt. 3 into NYC.

@gb143 -- I agree with you about West Orange...the schools are alright (not great) and the 10K+ taxes just do not make sense when you consider schools and other amenities. I think some people here have posted the reasons for high WO taxes, but regardless....

What other towns have you considered so far?

Clifton would be a better choice. Lower taxes, train station, and tons of condo communities.

Riverwalk, Patricia Village(older), Cambridge and at least 3 others
