Oh boy! I am all over the map on this- sometimes choice makes it so much harder.

My primary concern is schools- both these areas have good schools

these are my other factors in order

* low low crime! gangs etc
* affordability (I dont mind small - but I prefer after 1977 construction)
* kids in the neighborhood
* walkability - would love to be able to walk to a grocery store, trader joes ? I am in heaven
* would be nice to be near a park
* diversity- but it does not have to be a veritable UN
* IT jobs locally and commute to NY

Thanks all for your help. Narrowing it so far to the NY NJ area, but not much more!
