Hey. I recently moved to jersey city from new York city and im wondering if any of you can help me. I have. To go in and surrender my ny license for an Nj license. My thing is that I got a speeding ticket in nj a little over a year or 2 ago. I paid the fine and no points were issued to my ny license. Now that I surrender does this mean my Nj license will have points? Thank you for any help in advance.

Even if the ticket had points, b/c it was 1-2 years ago the points usually get wiped (provided your record remained clean; I think the points come off at a rate of 2 per year; )
