Was considering buying a home on off of fairmount/bergen avanue. Saw the following crime reports

and I believe this area is considered "north" of jersey city? Didnt seem that bad and i've been trying to research the area and it seems to have been improving each year. I read that the govt is putting some money in the area so I figured it might be worth it.
Could anyone tell me how this area is safety wise, a family neighborhood to bring up kids (but city-like since that is how I grew up and what i'm used to), how much would homes be worth in todays market to make an offer on a 2-3BR house?

and to show my appreciation, since I really have nothing else to offer, is an awesome recipe for garlic knots. I added a couple of TBs of semolina flour since it turns AP flour into Bread flour to make it a better texture

Mid-way, add some of the butter/garlic mixture and when done, add the rest.
She also has an awesome recipe for brownies:

Thanks again!
