I need to rent a 1-2BR within commuting distance to Trenton.

I was impressed with Avalon Princeton Junction. But reviews online said that the units have poor insulation, and the apartments are very noisy.

Anyone here know about Avalon Princeton Junction?

Or have ideas about where I can find a 1-2 BR that is safe, in the $1500/mo range?

I lived there for a short time (about 6 months). This was 5 years ago so keep that in mind. I found it to be fine--never had a problem with noise or insulation although I have heard those complaints as well. We really liked it there and only moved because we were buying a home. It's a good option for the short term. There are a couple of other alternatives right in that same area (Windsor Woods, the Toll Brothers apartments) but I've heard many complaints about those as well. There is also a brand new development right up the road from Avalon. They are still being constructed but I know some are available. It is Princeton Terrace--here is the link. I know nothing about them but they are not cheap. Good luck! PRINCETON TERRACE WEST WINDSOR - WEST WINDSOR , MERCER COUNTY NJ

We had friends who rented at Avalon Princeton Jct. They had no real complaint, moved out when they bought a house.

Another option in your price range is the Mews at Princeton Jct

I am looking for a safe place to rent that is about 30 minute commute max to Trenton.

I was considering West Windsor, but are there any places that are safe, but a little more affordable? I have heard that Lawrenceville and Ewing and Hamilton are not 100% safe.
