Default Average utilities cost?

Does anyone know of a good online resource where I could research average utility costs for New Jersey? My fiancee and I are trying to figure out what our budget would look like once we're settled into our first home. Obviously these figures could vary quite a bit depending on the type of heating/air conditioning, how well insulated the house is, etc...but I'm trying to get numbers such as how much, on average, New Jersey residential customers paid for oil, natural gas, propane, electricity, and water in recent years. Or, I'd be interested to hear anecdotes from folks about what they pay for utilities month to month. Can anyone offer some advice?

We are in Middlesex County-3 bedroom colonial. Gas is $100/month with the budget plan PSE&G offers. Electric has been anywhere from $80something to $115ish/month-depends on how much we have the air on and dryer running. Water has been $60-$80/quarterly.

All depends on usage really. It is tough to say what they are but I can tell you that in my 2000 square foot home my Heating Bill is about $100-150 a month in the winter and the A/C is about $100 a month.

Hope this helps.

Don't buy an old craftsman non insulated house!! My house was in the winter with the terrible radiator steam heat was 400-600 dollars a month in the winter. I got a wood stove and guess what the bills went way down but the price of a cord of wood went way up. BEND OVER either way. Don't get radiator steam, its the worst. Dont get plaster non insulated walls. Don't buy an old old house.
