Default Jersey Gardens Mall in Elizabeth

Is it a safe place to take a daytime shopping trip?

Absolutely. The mall is in area across from IKEA. It is very large and you should take the same precautions you would take shopping at any other mall. I've been there at night and again, you use common sense and be aware of your surroundings. I would do this no matter what mall I shopped at.

Nice Stores yes, but a bad element frequents it on Weekends. I almost got killed there once, that was the end of going there again.
I do like Ikea though.

I generally only go there on weekdays during the day. Great stores, but after dark, a little sketchy.

It's fine at night and during the day. There's a great police presence there, which makes you feel safe. There are not sketchy areas because across the street there are about 5 Hotels, from Extended Stays and so on. There is also a Ruby Tuesdays and they just built a new warehouse in the back for Elizabeth Seaport. I've awlays felt safe there but just use common sense like any other mall.

Isn't this the same person who knocked us talking about Corzine's mother while there is a war going on? I guess shopping is right up there with the war.

Is that you Mrs. Corzine?

How is right!? Don't worry HappyGal. I've been going there since it practically opened up. There are some great stores there that I frequent: Off Saks 5th Avenue, kenneth Cole, Burlington Coat Factor.I think you may be nicely suprised once you get there. There's great police presence inside and outside of the Mall. This is no where near the sketchy sections that most think of when they hear Elizabeth.
