Brigantine in Winter
What is it like there in the winter? We are thinking of trying to make it back there in February or March... we just want to sit and relax... don't care about shopping or entertainment... just need a grocery store and restaurants... what's it like?

My wife's from Philly and I think 'broke the rule' and actually moved out of the city for a time and lived in Brigantine years back and I think it's gotten into her blood now because she wants to go back there. From what she's said she loved it. She just likes to relax etc but you also have proximity to AC so you're not that far from entertainment,as opposed to places like Wildwood where it'd probably just be dead in winter.

Bear in mind that any Jersey shore town will have a fair share of their restaurants close for the winter. That's when many owners get their well-earned break after a hectic summer's work.
Many people are visiting the shore in the fall and winter, as well as relocating here - so there are some restaurant owners that will extend their season to take advantage of that.
Luckily, Brigantine is very close to Atlantic City which has some great restaurants now at the Pier at Caesars as well as the Quarter at the Tropicana. Both the Quarter and the Pier have websites.
Enjoy the shore in the off-season. That's when the locals do!

COLD !!! When the wind kicks up and you are directly at the shore it does get cold. However,,on the days when I recall being there , some were pretty nice for winter really. Not nearly as cold as pennsylvania!!! The March winds are what I recall as being the coldest. My family has a home there and they just use it in the summer. What I like about it is ..NO TRAFFIC!!!

It is quiet but everything is still open. We used to have a house there and would go down in the winter all the time. There are a lot of year round residents in Brigantine. The wind does kick up since it's an island, but if you just want to relax, order a pizza and watch a movie...you can't go wrong
