I am new to this area and planning to move in the apartments at Lehigh Ave Perth Amboy.

I want to know if the neighborhood is safe as I may have to walk to the station, which is around 0.3 miles from apartment.

I would also like to know what is the cost of living in this area, the expected rent is $1325 excluding utilities(Gas, Water, Electricity). Heating is Gas

Usually Heating / Electricity / Water are included in the rent , I don't know too much about that area of PA. I do know that Luxury Housing and Retail is planned for the Riverfront nearby and around the train station....

It's pretty safe there I walk there at night plus a lot of people are home at that time. Good luck!

I have lived in perth amboy most of my life and in my opinion the town is going downhill at a fast rate. I would not recommend anyone looking for residence to move there. I am looking to move . the taxes are outrageous and the community is not good. you get nothing for your tax dollars .there are no breaks for senior citizens . it is very difficult selling a house in this town due to all I have said . the town is not what it was years ago , which is ashamed because the waterfront is gorgeous . the town needs a whole new regime to turn this around . the ones that are in there are not doing it .

It's cheap and inexpensive and it's somewhat hit or miss.
