Default $1500 for studio at Avalon at Wood-ridge?

So I was looking at the website for the new development the Avalon at Wood-Ridge, and it says that just their smallest studios will start at $1500/month. Really!? How can they expect to get that much? Is it going to be that great?

I mean, in the same town, normal rents are like $900/month for 1 BR. OK, sure, the other stuff may be closer to the airport, but not THAT close, not gonna be that much more noise. And you could easily be equivalently close to the Wood-Ridge station, which is just as far time-wise from Secaucus station.
There's going to be shopping there, but so what? When you're in a downtown area in any of our cities in NJ, there's already tons of crap close by anyway.
The only thing that they apparently will have that other apts don't is some on-site amenities, like fireplaces and pool tables in a central area.

Is it really going to cost that much? Who would be such a sucker?

Sadly, a lot of people. Until a year or two later when they come to their senses and realize how much money they're paying and that they don't even use those amenities.
People also seem to think when they pay luxury prices they won't have the problems that lower priced rentals come with, but they do.

oh no, people would use those amenities and it would be awesome. And the price and location and nature of the building (apartments) sort of selects all the people their to be young white people/yuppies/whatever you want to call it, so it'd be great for socializing.

But it just isn't worth that price, and you could probably just meet someone who lives there anyway and use that stuff in that way (I'm thinking the outdoor grill/patio would be nice)

Pretty sure the Avalon's have an additional amenities fee on top of the monthly rent that is required whether you use the facilities or not so tack on some more money to the monthly rent. And many of their complexes don't have a great reputation as being a good place to live either.
