Sorry you didn't enjoy your stay in NJ. I read up on some of your previous posts and it seems you're a bit bitter that your 2 year investment in NJ didn't pay off as well as you would have liked, although you should have known that in this market you can't plant a seed and expect a full rose garden in just 2 years.
It seems you also don't take well to persons of other cultures/ethnicities. I'm a Latino and i grew up in Queens, the son of 2 immigrants. My parents spoke zero English when they came here. Why should you care that the McDonald's menu is in Spanish if its in English also? (for those of you scratching your head, todd was very upset in another post that the McDonalds menu was in Spanish...lol)

Here we go..Bring up the racism card again..God..I tell someone good luck and this is what happens........I happen to care cause if you live in America you should learn the darn language... You'll fit right in..

But I was wondering if anyone have any comments on the Lenox condos, the surrounding area, and transportation to NYC (what do I take? distance / time) as well as in and out of Union City by car (traffic).
Thanks in advance.

Instead, consider condos in Sevcaucus where it's rural, safe, has an even better and more convenient commute and much more to offer!

Tax Abatement
Did you ever get a tax abatement? I just got my first tax bill, spoke to a Union City tax assessor and was told there is no such agreement between Union city and The Lenox.
BTW, I never had roaches in the apartment that I left behind for the condo. From time to time I had a mouse but so do my friends in NYC. Haven't had a mouse in AGES.

They now have an exclusive shuttle service that drops you off at the light rail at 9th and Congress or the Hoboken PATH train. I am telling you as a condo owner that the value of this place will continue to rise. Just look at all of the street renovation they did in front of the building.

Lenox Tax Abatement
[quote=Kissie;5661381]Did you ever get a tax abatement? I just got my first tax bill, spoke to a Union City tax assessor and was told there is no such agreement between Union city and The Lenox.
Turns out that the tax abatement will begin in 2009 just as described by the salesperson. There was a snafu when the city sent me the tax bill for the 1st and 2nd quarters although I was not the owner in the 1st and 2nd quarters. Due to the time factor, I paid the taxes to avoid a bad mark against my name. The Lenox Condominium Association quickly refunded the money that I paid.

Sure thing. In this market all property values are falling... even in
Manhattan and this place is immune?
Right thanks for the update Lenox sales person.

You can only polish a turd so much. With the astronomical taxes, tightening of credit, and a nabe that's not exactly a gem, this place will see prices come down. If Manhattan, Hoboken, Jersey City, and other more desirable urban areas are feeling a big crunch, what makes you think this place will be immune?
