Okay, so SkipChurch has the best idea of us all so far. They are PLENTY of things to do with teenagers (if they're courageous enough) in weird NJ. That is one of my favorite things about our state, we have a plethera of "weirdness" and strange phenomena! I'm in my 30's and we still go in search of some of these places...with the kids sometimes !

On a smaller scale, Lambertville/New Hope is awesome (bring lots of cash though, you'll want to buy something in every store)

There are also funplexes that have go cart racing, indoor batting cages, etc. and although teens will roll their eyes, I've seen many who've loved every minute of it (and then complained afterword that it wasn't that great) LOL

It's not in NJ, but you can take them to Jeckyl and Hydes in the city, good food and great fun. I'm sure you can find it online because I won't make it sound as good if I try to describe it.

Go to a drive in (there's still one up in Vernon). They may not think they'll enjoy it but I bet at their age, it's something they've never done before or even knew existed back in the day.

Lastly, I don't know how many other towns might do it, but I know that Keyport has these ghost tours through town. They also do a christmas tour of homes if I'm not mistaken. But the teens will likely opt for the ghost tour.

The PA Ren faire is open thru the end of Oct. It's in Manheim, PA. It's a lot of fun and a really good one.
