you seriously want people to compare the whole of Northern NJ (Hudson, Bergen, Union, Morris, Essex, Passaic, Sussex, Warren (and possibly Somerset/Hunterdon) Counties) to a relatively tiny island?

Well, no, how about Hudson, Essex and close by parts of Bergen?

I'd rather live in Glen Ridge than Staten Island. I'd rather live in Staten Island than Irvington.

You could argue for any & ALL aspects of North Jersey over Staten Island. What real advantages does living in SI have over NNJ?

Still a lot of diversity in the different parts of those areas ranging from slums to high-end suburbs. Again, think Glen Ridge vs Irvington.

What Tahiti stated is a concise illustration of why it is not really possible to compare most of NNJ with Staten Island. NJ has much more diversity--for better or worse--than Staten Island does.

However, if your ideal woman looks like "Snooki" or "JWoww", and has the same values systems as "Snooki" and "JWoww", Staten Island might just be ideal for you.

Yes, I am aware that Snooki does not hail from SI.
She is just the poster child for the island.
(I don't think that the other bimbo comes from SI either, but I am very far from being an expert on this topic.)
