Nbrakern is on a distinguished road
Wink How are the schools, ect. in Lake Mohawk?

Hello everyone. My husband and I are planning on relocating back East from Los Angeles if our home ever sells here. Up until now, we've been focusing on Warwick, New York. How are the schools in Lake Mohawk? How bad of a commute is it into Manhattan for an occasional weekend visit? Are there lots of activities for children in the Sparta area? How is this area rated? Is it affluent, or slummy and rundown? We want a place with good resale value. Also, can you have horses in Lake Mohawk on your property? Thank-you. Sorry for so many questions, but everyone on these forums is so knowledgable.

Sparta schools which kids in Lk Mohawk attend are fine..you also have a Catholic elementary & high school in Sparta if you so desire.
Weekend commute into NYC..about 45 minutes
No you can't keep horses on property in Lk Mohawk, there are how ever several boarding stables with in Sussex County

And Sparta is far from slummy...most homes are $$$$$ and $$$$$ for taxes as well.
