Here is a link to a recent thread about Livingston, which borders Florham Park:

Also, the school systems in Livingston, Millburn/Short Hills, and Summit are at least as good as Mountain Lakes but they are also a little closer to Florham Park.
Here is a great site to check on school systems: GreatSchools.net

UKOK - I liked what you had to say about Mountain lakes, sounds more family oriented. For a stay at home Mom, like myself, that sounds really appealling. I'm going to have to look into that town!

Yes, it's a terrific town for families and stay at home moms. It is a different feel from the Summit / Short Hills area. Slightly more relaxed with less hustle and almost all the emphasis on the kids. I do love the downtown area in Summit, which is lacking in Mountain Lakes but I find Mountain Lakes much more aesthetically pleasing.
I'm not sure if you have seen it but NJ Monthly does a ranking of all the high schools in NJ. It's worth a look:

I have to disagree with you here, at least partially. While summit, with it's large downtown might have a little more hustle, Millburn/Short Hills is a quiet, small town with plenty of emphasis on kids. The Short Hills mall gets pretty busy, but the town is well insulated from the mall, which is surrounded by a golf course on one side and the highway on the other. Short Hills would be a great choice.
Also, as I said in the other post, Livingston is a town built around children. Also it's not as much of a commuter town as some of the others, and I'm always in and out of Florham Park, as it only takes 5 minutes to get there from my house.
