I just hate when I lock horns with haters it's always their 'opinion' but when I say something (my own opinion) it's bashing. Lol it's like a crime to not hate NJ

There is none. People who say otherwise aren't living in reality

Maybe me and you can move to Graceland

Maybe we could find Elvis alive and well

All kidding aside
I am glad these people found someplace they love
But i just wish they would enjoy it more and bother us less

Brian, the truth is I really did get run over with shopping carts in Wegmans in Manalapan. I was talking to a friend here who lived in Noth Jersey for 15 years, and she does like Jersey, but she agreed that she got run over with shopping carts there also. You have to Admit, people are always in a rush there, so they push and don't look where they are going. I never have that problem here, there are so many supermarkets its never crowded, also people here are not in a rush while shopping.
I know you don't want to see bad posts because it makes it harder to sell homes there especially in a declining market.
bTW, MY boss in NJ is a retired police officer and we all tease him about the donuts. It's always been a cop joke.

Diane

Diane. For the love of mike! These posters live in New Jersey. They know whether they're getting run over by shopping carts or not. (ETA: Evidenced by the general expression of shock and disbelief at the comment; obviously none of these people are experiencing the things you say you experienced.) If they're not getting run over...then they're not getting run over. Is it courteous to completely discount others' experiences by insisting your individual one (or a "friend's") overrides everybody else's experience? That's your personal experience. Here is everyone else's personal experience. And there you have it, right? No matter how awful your experience with shopping carts may have been in the past, this won't retroactively turn back time and change everyone else's positive experience into an awful one. I'm talking in circles here but this one bears some philosophical discussion.

I feel like I'm going all Taoist here but if a cart hits a cart in Shop Rite, do both parties know? Answer: Probably yes. Unless one party is unconscious. Conclusion: Those who have never felt their carts get run into, probably never have gotten their carts run into. This is so weird...why are you trying to convince people that horrible things happen where they live, if they've never experienced these things?

In 38 years I can safely say that I was never once run over by a shopping cart in New Jersey. Scout's honor. Well, 36 years because I spent two years in Pennsylvania which leads me to my next comment, not sure it's relevant...I did have my ankle cut into by a shopping cart once. Not cart/cart contact but perhaps it fits the general category. Anyway...the place this happened in was...Pennsylvania. The Poconos. It was a complete accident. I don't hold the state of Pennsylvania responsible. Anyway...just my own experiences here.

Last edited by JerZ; 09-18-2007 at 11:22 PM.. Reason: Taoist...not Buddhist (word substitution)...and general cleanup for clarity
