My husband is actually in the wholesale lumber biz and knows that Khov sucks. The finished product is poorly done and this just the beginning of the problem. His company does not sell and has never sold to KHov. We have looked at the model homes in various communities however and my husband is always shocked at the messy home that Khov puts on the market. For the record, he thinks that as far as production homes go DeLuca does a nice job. Right now of course everyone is feeling the pain of a crummy market ....

That's interesting to hear that the SFH's are of poor quality. Their urban developments always seem top notch.

What looks Top Notch sometimes is not. I had a lot of workmen at the end replacing what was taken down because of the oil problem, and a few were talking about his new builds and saying how he saved on studs. Doing this caused walls and ceilings to colapse. My friend's husband who is a contractor also made comments on how those houses were built.
Diane____Yes I had Friend's in Manalapan, there were some nice people there, the odds though are against.

Has anyone heard positive things about khov homes and condos?

A lot really does ride on the credentials of the building inspector, I think. The whole area of new construction, warranty packages and contracts need to be revamped in NJ.

It seems spotty, some like them some don't. You really need to walk the houses in the community that you are looking in. If there are any pre-owned homes, walk those also.

You have to remember that with the amount of homes they put up, there are bound to be some people that aren't happy.
