Default Milltown to Midtown NYC?

Hey Guys,

How would I get from Milltown to Midtown via bus?

It looks like Suburban Transit, Line-400, only has TWO buses that go from Milltown-NYC and back.

It also looks like a ton of buses leave from the East Brunswick Transportation Center. Is this the best bet? Is this the "Tower Center", right off of NJ Turnpike Exit 9?

If so, what's the parking situation like there?

Currently I take an Academy bus from Sayreville that goes down Madison rather than going into Port Authority. This is ideal b/c I work on Madison.

Do you know if there are any buses, closer to Milltown, that do this? Even if I have to drive a little, I'm okay with that.

Thanks in advance!

NJT bus #138 stops along Route 18 in East Brunswick and goes to P.A. I know some people park in the Pathmark parking lot on Route 18 and take the bus from Windsor Pharmacy. You could check that out.

I think the Tower Center (by the Hilton) only has Academy buses. The Transportation Center is behind Sam's Club on 18.

Thanks EBWick! 138 definitely seems like a great option. From Milltown it's only about 10 min to either the Racetrack Rd, Tices Ln, or Eggers St stops.

Does anyone know how parking is at any of these stops? (I'm not sure I'd want to "park at my own risk" in a Pathmark parking lot?) Also, are there available seats at this point? I notice these are the last 3 stops before heading to the city...

Also, any alternatives would be appreciated (maybe buses from No. Brunswick?)
