Since I'm going to have a roof replacement, I figure now is the time to look at my roofing options. One that I'm thinking about is solar.
With the advent of solar shingles as opposed to the traditional big-panel-mounted-on-aluminum-rails, I think this may be a viable solution - especially since they replace the asphalt in the portions they are installed. So does anyone have any experience doing solar in NJ? What about solar shingles? How much of a pain is it getting the approvals from the state for rebates? How has it maintained for you over time? TIA ![]() |
