Default Salaries in NJ/NYC

I am an insurance agent in Louisiana. I am thinking about a change in my life. Does anyone know what the average salary is for a Licensed P&C insurance agent is in NYC or central Jersey?

I would think NYC would be higher, but I suppose that would depend. If you go to work for an insurance company, I assume you would make commission? Sorry I don't know about salaries. I do know cost of living, especially housing, is much higher in NYC.

Default Did you try to look at Payscale.com?

Payscale.com is a pretty good salary calculator. They take in account the area, your education, experience and calculate what you will be earning in a specific area. I wish I could say specifically, but I'm not sure...however, this site gives you a good estimate as to what you will be making.
