lost my job and was collecting-got a new job and now I have been laid of that one too. Was able to continue collecting against old claim. Old claim will run out very soon. Can I make a new claim against the second job. I worked for more than 22 weeks for them?

Please let me know your thoughts

http://ghutch.wordpress.com/2008/04/11/unemployment-employee-eligibility-employer-effect/

To be eligible for unemployment benefits, you must have worked at least 20 base weeks in covered employment or you must have earned $7,200.

My only confusion is your topic "
NJ unemployment question south jersey" While I'm sure there are plenty North Jersey people who feel South Jersey is some kind of hick back country that's not part of new jersey, let me assure you we are still part of New Jersey and the same laws apply to us as you northern city folks.

Yeah, what up with the "South Jersey" distinction? Unemployment rules are the same all across the state. But I wouldn't rest my laurels on anything someone "thinks" on a forum. A call to NJ Unemployment brings a sure enough accurate response.
