hi I dont know that much on the area but I know Boonton is the better choice in the two. It was rated as one of the top places to live in northern Jersey. Also I know they have good schools. I have a friend who lives on the border of Parsippany and Boonton and loves it there. Wayne is also a nice area with great schools and is in close proximity.Lincoln Park just isnt that nice and has a lot of flooding problems.
Good Luck! |

There is also Boonton Township. I would guess that “It was” Boonton Township “rated as one of the top places to live in northern Jersey”, but I could be wrong.

Hello Boston!
Boonton Township has some very nice areas. Lincoln Park unfortunately has a lot of flooding but still have some homes NOT in flood zones. You'd have to tour both areas & make up your own mind as to which you prefer. If you have any specific questions, feel free to ask. Antoinette ![]() |

I have lived in Lincoln Park for 9 years now, and the descriptions that I read in this thread bare very little resemblance to the town I see every day.
Despite what you read here from people who obviously know very little about Lincoln Park, it is not a huge flood zone. There are several parts of town that do flood but those areas comprise less than 20% of all the homes in the town. Most people who live in town are never affected in any way, shape or form by flooding. People see a news clips about flooding in the homes built right on the river and automatically assume that it afflicts the entire town. It doesn't. Lincoln Park is a neat little town, filled with lots of nice people. You could do a lot worse than Lincoln Park. The high school situation is a complete mess right now but it doesn't sound like that is an immediate concern to you. |

I know this area very well. I have lived here for over 20 years and it is a very nice town. Most of the time when the news is reporting flooding they are parked in Lincoln Park but are filming WAYNE - check your facts

I lived in Boonton for many years and absolutely loved it. I lived in the Hills section in a 1910 Victorian, a 10-minute walk from local shops, antique stores, etc. The best part of Boonton (IMHO) is the Park section. These days you can buy a great home at a decent price. The Flats section of Boonton is quaint, lots of old homes (if you're into that). The town has a mix of low- mid- and upper-income sections.
