Default Best Place for Pumpkin/Apple Picking in North or Central Jersey

I'm planning to take my baby to a farm for pumpkin picking in October. Can someone recommend a place that is fun for both adults and kids? Thanks

"Windy Brow Farms
Pick your own apples through October with wagon rides on weekends; group tours weekdays. Homemade pies and baked goods, cider, local honey, jams, jellies, seasonal fruits and vegetables, flowers, and country decorations. Rt. 80 to 206 N.to Springdale. Left on Rt. 618, right at blinker onto R. 519. 1/2 mile on right."

359 Ridge Road, Newton 07860, 973/579-9657

Hope this helps.

When my boys were really little, we'd go to Ort Farms in Long Valley. Pumpkin picking, hay rides, lots of animals you can feed, corn maze, and a huge open field with different decorations (eg - cut outs that you could stick you head in for a corny picture, lol) , picnic tables and food. It's a really neat place in a beautiful setting.

Bartley Road in Long Valley, right off of 513 (aka "old 24").

I love this time of year!

I want to pick pumpkins too! Sussex County is so far for me though.

Anyone know of any nice places in Hunterdon County? I love going to Hunterdon County for the day.

Eastmont Orchard in Colts Neck is a great place for apple picking. Delicious Orchards, nearby, is fantastic. The store sells apple pies, cookies, and donuts to die for--not sure if they do apple picking though.

Cheesequake Farms in Old Bridge is where we took our daughter pumpkin picking last year. It isn't a huge place, but they had a cute hayride and corn maze that fit the bill for us.

Ideal Farms in Sussex Cty, at the Rt 206/Rt 15 junction, has nice pumpkin picking. You pile into a hay wagon and it takes you up to their pumpkin field.

They also have a haunted house and GREAT homemade donuts, fresh out of the oil.
