Well, how is your lawyer going to get paid?

You are a spaz. Wanting someone to pay because you slipped is a joke. Get a life. Your pain will go away but your poor character will stay with you forever!

None of us have any way of knowing--via cyberspace--whether the OP has a valid claim and real injuries or not, and by assuming that he/she is...a liar..."a spaz"...or "of poor character", you are making judgments that may well be unwarranted.

I would prefer to accept the OP's statements as truthful until proven otherwise.
And, by automatically assuming that another person is of poor character, that may indicate some negative character traits on your part.

I'm sorry but this doesn't pass the sniff test for me either. This is the same poster that was looking for a lawyer for their son "in trouble" then the same one looking for a lawyer for foreclosure, then looking for a lawyer for a kids car accident and now needs a lawyer for a fall? All in the space of a few weeks?

OP, you seem to be really down on your luck and it looks like money is tight and things are rough. I hope things turn around for you but I'm not sure your looking in the right areas.

I agree with Lastinshow, this poster seems to be sue happy. This is a huge problem going on throughout this country, everyone wants to sue for a little bump and bruise. If this person was on the level, they would have filled out an accident report, spoke to management and explained that they wanted their medical bills taken care of. No company would refuse that an risk a lawsuit. How is the lawyer going to get paid unless this poster was looking for a big payday. As Lastinshow wrote, this doesn't pass the sniff test. #14

Why do people come to a relocation board for legal advice?

I guess the same reason they ask about mattresses, toasters and washing machines on the NJ forum. I always think to myself, what does that have to do with NJ.

The beauty is the right lawyer will pester the company even if they are not at fault until the company will decide that evn though they may win, the cost will be higher than the amount for which your lawyer will settle.

What were the details of the fall?

Hmmmm...I think that I am beginning to re-think my earlier willingness to give that person the benefit of the doubt.

If this is really the same person who needed an attorney for her son (who was supposedly "a good kid", despite having been arrested for a felony), later wanted an attorney for a foreclosure matter, and is now claiming injuries from a slip & fall accident...then it does appear that this is someone who is seeking to get $$ in any way possible.

While I still like to begin by giving people the benefit of the doubt, it is beginning to look like this person may not be so innocent.
