We went to a party once in Demarest (? maybe?) in a VFW-type hall and it was an unusually nice one--right in a park, or next to one. Does anybody know where that one is?

I am looking to have a reception/celebration in a hall. About 80 guests and the hall needs to be modern and doesn't smell like moth balls...anyone have any ideas. Also does anyone know if you rent a hall for your nightcan you go in the night before to set up?

There is a VFW in Rochelle Park that is supposed to be nice, I have not been to it, but I've heard it's nice. Also another in Washington Twp. Let me see if I can get you links.

We didn't end up using a VFW hall for that party. But since then I've heard you can rent the VFW in Edgewater, which is in a park right near the river and is supposed to be nice, or the social hall at the Church of the Good Shepherd in Fort Lee. HTH!
