Bridgewater to work in Manhattan, take train or bus? (Newark: transfer, live in)

I live in Bridgewater and need to work in Manhattan. Which one is more convenient, train or bus?

I'm bumping this thread to the top as I'm watching for a response as well, as Bridgewater is one of the areas we're also looking at. Wondering the same thing...bus or train for commuting to NYC? Anyone?

Train's are usually quicker because you wont have to ever worry about traffic.

I checked the schedule, seems the train takes about the same time as bus. And the train needs transfer at Newark....
