so true, unfortunately the people with real class have become far and few between, especially in Rumson.
When I first moved to the area one of the first people I encountered was a billionaire from navesink river road, nicest most down to earth guy you could meet, nowadays you have these wall st millionaires moving in who think their poop comes out wrapped in baggies

Ignore them. I know, I go back to our highschool reunions and we just laugh at all the "poshness". But my hometown is just a lovely memory of walking over the bridge, parties galore, sailing, swimming, Monmouth Park is still my favorite place in the world. The newcomers have no idea what it is under the glip, ghastly new mansions. My father, loves to drive around with me when I go back and point to where old friend lived and says stuff like, "Look at That! What the Hell are thinking?" :0)

People who actually have money generally don't talk about it.

I'm noticing a pattern...with the exception of Haddonfield (and I'm going to also nominate Princeton)...every town listed was in North Jersey! Seems you guys have a general snobbiness problem up there. Please don't let those snobs migrate south, I have enough of the Princetonians...

Yes it is. They think they are so much better than everyone else in the area. Go to the mall and if you have kids, watch out for them, as the people have their noses so high in the air they won't see the kids and smack into them. Then not even have the decency to apologize.
It makes me sick!
I think it's the nuveau riche (sp?) that are the worst and Bridgewater is chock full of them. People that have had to work hard at it are usually down to earth. Those that have everything handed to them are as snotty as they come, expecting that they are entitled.
Someone couldn't pay me to live in Bridgewater!! It's that bad!!
