When we were looking for a house a couple of weeks ago, more than one person told us Ridgewood was very snobby. (Although to be fair, one of those people was trying to lease us a house that was NOT in Ridgewood, so he may have had ulterior motives...). We were also told that Saddle River was elitist, and Oradell was "very Desperate Housewives". However, this is ALL hearsay, as I have absolutely no experience with any of this yet!
Hoboken Guy, you seem like a nice guy, though. Plus, your taste in food is superb!
Thanks man. The arrogance that oozes out from the trust fund kids/adults in this town is sickening though. I worked hard for my nice car, I worked hard to live in a nice waterfront building, but the trust fund kids outnumber the real people in Hoboken.
I come from blue collar roots and I would rather go out for pizza beer and do some bowling over going to some asinine club with all the fake, plastic people.

I've never been to Hoboken, so I had no clue.
You sound like good people. Maybe you'll appreciate this (maybe not)...when my husband and I moved out of NY, the night before we left we hung out on the stoop of our (rented) house with 6 of our closest friends. We bought (don't get grossed out) about $80 worth of White Castle and drank beer with it. It was a fun farewell!
Thank God we didn't get sick the next day in the Ryder truck!
