What places would you recommend to look for winter rentals by the NJ shore?

I just relocated to NJ and following the advice of some colleagues I am considering to get a winter rental by the beach (in Monmouth county). It seems I could get a good deal (and furnished) for a few months (until next May), and that would give me time to get to know the area and get a longer term rental then.

Thanks!

Depending on how much money you want to spend, Long Branch has winter rentals also.

All the towns mentioned have the North Jersey Train running thru them. It all depends on the commute you want. Word of advice, try not to be over 1 hour from work, because when it rains or snows that could change to 1 1/2 to 2 or more hours to work. It gets old after a few months.

If it's not too far from where you'd want to be, I'd recommend also looking at Ocean County (not just saying that because I'm from there, either). There are a lot of beach properties there that would probably be available for winter rentals, and places like Point Pleasant and Bay Head have train stations that will get you to Monmouth County, NYC, and wherever else you want to go.
