I am considering a move to the Forest Hill neighborhood in Newark. I have two kids, one about to start Kindergarten, the other in preschool. I realize public school may not be an option in this area - I'm wondering if any current / former residents could tell me about public and private elementary school options in the area? Thanks.

It's wonderful to hear about the move to Newark! I hear a lot of good things about the Robert Treat Academy school. It's a charter school but it seems to be a very great school from what I've heard from others. However this is a grade K to 8 school. And Newark does not have any good public high schools so sorry to say that when your kids reach high school you have to start thinking of private schools.

Best of luck on your move and let me know how it goes out for you guys.
