Default Russian community in East Brunswick?

Random marketing question:

I know that East Brunswick has a large Jewish population, as well as a large South Asian community. A co-worker had mentioned that East Brunswick has a large Russian community, as well as the surrounding towns.

I, for the life of me, cannot recall this. I know there's a big Portuguese population in South River and Sayreville, but I thought the Russian community was more north.

Could someone shed some light on this?

Yeah, lots of Russians in EB, Spotswood, Hemetta, Monroe, Jamesburg, South River, Sayreville, South Amboy, Perth Amboy. Mostly keep to themselves. Many are in the Jewish population; others are Orthodox.

One nuance, though. These are people's from Mother Russia and not the Stans. There is a definitive difference.

Russians from East Brunswich are some of the best exterior workers, e.g. roofing, windows, sinding because they arn't scared of heights. I know one Russian guy from there who once did a job where he ripped of 20 squares shingles in 2 days and replaced. I was watching him do it and he was an animal.

And I thought it was Mohawk Indians who weren't afraid of heights

New York City has a Mohawk Indian community founded by the arrival of hired skyscraper construction workers of Mohawk and other Iroquois origin from the 1930s to the 1970s on special labor contracts to build bridges and skyscrapers, including the Empire State Building. The construction companies found that the Mohawks did not fear heights or dangerous conditions, but the contracts offered lower than average wages and limited labor union membership.
