Been looking around to changing the carpet in 2 rooms.

As anyone here called and use one of those carpet ads on TV that comes to your house with samples?

Curious if it's worth to bother calling them.

I haven't used them, but I'd have to think that they're going to employ some hard-sell salespeople- otherwise they're going to spend a lot of time being free decorator services for people who want to shop at home and then go to Home Depot to buy. I'm not into having anyone in my house trying to sell me on something- once they're in, it's tough to get them back out....

I have used Smart Carpet and I cannot say enough about them. They were wonderful! My neighbors saw my results and each used them as well. They come with the samples, you pick..they send installers..you pay, done deal. All without leaving your home. We did move our own furniture but that was my husband's choice to move it. I had 2 bedrooms done. I should mention that one of my choices was a Berber..bad choice. The vacuum's beater bar tore it up. Smart Carpet offered me a chocie of repairing it or $100. It wasn't even their fault. I choose the repair. This was 4 years ago. I would HIGHLY recommend them for convenience, prices, customer service and quality.

I have also had a good experience with Smart Carpet. We recarpeted 5 rooms plus a stairway and hall. We also had them install a woodlook laminate in our master bath. Everything was great!

We've used Smart Carpet as well. Was very pleased with them, and they did not try to hard sell me on the more expensive options. Their installers were great-super quick and did a great job cleaning up whatever mess there was.

What about pricing? Did you compare their prices to the store front carpet places?

Comprable, if not a little less than the Home Depot carpet we got in our first apartment.

I thought the prices were excellent for what I wanted. I picked a high grade along with the bad-luck berber, which was cheaper. I think there is something for everyone. As regerase mentioned there is no pressure whatsoever. Oh..they will ask if they can put a sign on your lawn for a few days. I didn't mind, it just brought the neighbors over so I could show-off. As I said, my neighbors on each side used them right afeter me. They loved them, too.
