Is Irvington a good place to live in Jersey with a child?

No. Not at all. Irvington is honestly one of the worst communities in New Jersey. It is incredibly run down with stratospheric crime and no signs of regentrification. It's almost like a mini-Camden. I don't advise many people to steer clear of a place outright and unconditionally, but I would do so for Irvington, especially if you have children.

Irvington has the highest crime in the US. It just isnt as publisized cause its small community. You can even tell the difference when your driving through Newark and you go into Irvington. Its rediculous. Cheap as hell though.

You people are horrible. You probably haven't even walked through Irvington. I live in Irvington, I really do not like it, but I feel if I can survive here I can survive in some ritzy suburb that you live in.
