I was laid off in November 2011. I was collecting unemployment for a few months until I started a new job. Unfortunately it didn't work out there. I was able to re-open my old claim and continue to collect. I went to claimed last week and was told that I have reach 1 year since I opened my claim and that benefits are no longer available to me. I'm not sure what to do now. I wasn't claiming for an entire year. Am I eligible to continue claiming? I tried to call unemployment and selected the appropriate options. I keep getting put on hold with a wait time of over three hours, but I never make it more than 15 minutes before the call is disconnected. I tried to go online, but apparently I don't have the correct login info. I tried my ssn and 4 digit pin, but it doesn't work. I did a claim inquiry and it said that I still have move in my claim balance though.

File a new claim online. Your state benefits from the first claim must be exhausted within one year. Your old claim has expired. Your earnings from this past year should qualify for a whole new claim.
