i just wanted to know will the new jersey nets fan in new jersey(off coarse their are plenty of homer fans like everywhere) still root for the nets despite them moving to brooklyn or will they not care about their future??

to be honest with you the brooklyn nets don't have a huge warm reception in nyc as many think. Many are still knicks fans so i was just curious as to know where will most of their fan base be from. New jersey or brooklyn??

I don't follow basketball, but I didn't think anyone in NJ liked The Nets. Pretty sure at some point they got rid of The New Jersey part and just became the Nets.

The Devils are NJs team.

I've been a Nets fan since the early 70s when Rick Barry was the star player. I'm still upset the team moved to Brooklyn.

i think it was a good financial move for them. its a busy area where they are and they will have a lot of people able to go to the games on a regular basis. driving to meadowlands is more of an occasion thing fo4r nj residents while people in brooklyn can do the trip as a more eod sort of thing. of course, im not gonna go there and they will probably need plenty of security. but they should have an easier time filling the seats.

i dont watch team sports and dont understand loyalty to a team from your city/state/region. so it doesnt bother me that they moved from nj, its a business and making money is the primary objective.

I'd root for the Devils if their name was different. I'm not going to root for any team with the name 'devil' or 'satan'...

The name is based on a myth from the Pine Barrens. If you lived in Scotland and your local football team was called the "Nessies", would you have a problem with it?
