Moving family from Long Island to nj in the spring. Will be working in Cranford. How long should I expect commute times from Bridgewater to Cranford. Mon-Friday 8:30 -5:00?

Can go 1 of 2 ways
Down RT 22 or take 287

kind of a toss up, lots of lights slows you on 22
287 can get hit hard with traffic jams

morning, about 50-60 min
night, about 10-15 min longer

I think you mean I-78, I-287 would be going in the complete wrong direction.

It may make sense to combine ideas. For most of the town, I'd say I-78 from Bridgewater to Bonnie Burn Road should be pretty painless most of the time, then I'd experiment with what combination of 22, local roads, and 28 is fastest to your destination from there.

It also depends on where in Bridgewater you are. It wouldn't make any sense to take I-78 if you're down in Finderne, and 22 wouldn't make any sense to start with if you're way up near I-78.

I meant I-287
Some take it to parkway and loop North around
Some exit off 287 and work North in thru towns.

Yes, depends on where you live in Bridgewater
If up in Martinsville, 78 can make sense to parkway and loop South

A lot depends on which part of Bridgewater you are from.

I think it matters where you work in cranford too. If you are in the northeast by the westfield border, there is no way you will take the parkway, that would add 15 minutes
