I am new to New Jersey area. I wanted to know which is the best nightclub/discotheque in NJ/NY Area. I love dancing and I am alone here in NJ so want to go and make good friends..Pls help!!!!
Well it all depends on what you are looking for. NYC, by far trumps anything in NJ but be prepared to spend a decent amount of money in New York between transportation, covers, drinks, and possibly bribing your way in with the bouncer at the door if it is a busy night (unless you are a VERY attractive female with attractive friends). Below I have included some good places to get you started.
New Jersey:
Bar A
More of a bar atmosphere here but a very popular place to go during the summer as it is right on the water and many people from around the area visit.
Decko
Has the space and plenty of variety here. Not quite as good as a NY club but for NJ it is one of the best I have seen.
New York:
Pacha
Classic NYC club that has been very popular for several years. Always have great DJs and a great atmosphere.
Webster Hall
Another classic NYC club that has been very popular for several years. Here again, always have great DJs and a great atmosphere.
LAVO
A one stop high end shop. Crazy cocktails, dancing and a restaurant Italian restaurant upstairs.
Tenjune
Huge for NYC standards. Has three different areas, so there is a music type for everyone.
Avenue
Very sophisticated crowd due to the upscale nature. Very different from many of the clubs in the city. Can be pricey very quickly here but then again in Manhattan, that can happen anywhere.
Hope this helps, there are many other places in NYC but these are some of the best choices to get you started. Best of luck and have fun!
