Sounds like the perfect idea for a thread in the City vs City forum. Whose people of Walmart are trashier, State X or State Y?

I haven't posted about it, but I have done my own informal research

Whats the big deal with WAWA anyway??

I was in one coupla weeks ago in PA. Your typical 7-11 has the same stuff AND SLURPEES!!!!!!!!!!!
QuickCheck typically has a deli/sandwich shop (which is nice), some of the best coffee around (for the price) and cheaper Cigs.

Guess who's rocking the kool aid smile ?
that's nice. my wife would have loved that when she worked at wal-mart in kearny. Wawa is a good company, i like patronizing them when given the opportunity.

Wawa has a deli. And it is excellent. And the coffee is the best out there as far as I am concerned.

To many people from northern NJ and NY, Wawa is special because it reminds us of summertime trips to the Jersey Shore, or really any destinations to the south.

Up until VERY recently (to my knowledge), you didn't see any Wawas north of the Sandy Hook area.

To me, it's bittersweet that they are venturing further north. I feel that it will lose it's "special" cache now.

In thinking about it, there is nothing really super-special about Wawa stores, just the fact that it reminds me of trips to the shore as a kid/teenager. You knew you were close when you started seeing Wawas!!

Conversely, I am selfishly somewhat disappointed to see "my" Wawa expanding everywhere (FL, NNJ, etc). But at the end of the day, the more the merrier.

New Wawa's have bathrooms, a boon for me! Try asking to use the bathroom in 7-11

I don't think any other convenience store can compare in the variety and quality of food available, did you look at the touchscreen menu? It's ginormous. Yes, I like slurpees too, but Wawa has really good milkshakes.

Eh, Wawa deli and coffee are so-so as far as I'm concerned. I much more prefer the local deli's and coffee shops. But it's nice to get off the highway and have a place to grab something quick... which is what I tend to use Wawas for. To each their own.
