Can you imagine if Doctors or Lawyers started setting minimum charges or worse yet people who go to school for a licenses to sell Real estate and than ask for a set percentage of the sale.

Screw those people who are poor and work for low wages what do they expect to be paid like people who took a three week RE course? The shame.
tried to rep for that post but alas I must spread the love first

Yes, Most will stay at that Min rate.

And hiring of new people will slow, as people leave they won't be replaced as fast. Other steps will be taken to automate / replace the jobs.

You can't automate just yet a burger flipper at McDonalds. You can't automate just yet the sales clerk at Sears or Walmart...

There are jobs that simply can not be automated or shipped off shore.

I feel sorry for small Mom & Pop places that can't afford the hit but have NO sympathy for places like Walmart that take in millions each year in profits on all that crap junk that comes from China...they can afford it.

Burger flipper no, But they can (and did automate the sofa filling) how much time per day does that save? 1 or 2 FTE's?

The WalMarts near me renovated register lines into 12 self server scanner staffed by 2 person.

The Walmarts of the world will get better @ logistics and have per store packaging done in china, instead of in the US distribution centers, The container will come off the ship and go directly to your Walmart. Eliminating many People in there distribution channel.

Exactly the reason I won't shop at walmarts...and they can not totally eliminate human workers have to have actual people there...

Self check outs...it eliminates jobs and it isn't reducing my cost so I never use them

I was thinking the same exact thing. Thanks for saying it for me. In this "it's all about MEMEME society", this guy reins king. It could be worse, he could be someones Dad.

Maybe we should all take that 3 week Real Estate licensing course, then we'd all be so very very smart.
